Living in Los Angeles, a lot of the available work was in entertainment.
My Master of Architecture thesis 'A Library of Oral History' led to the idea of a Surround Sound dance club, so I literally called up Dolby Labs and we ended up putting out the first 5.1 DVD of electronic dance music, featuring Richie Hawtin and Phoenicia/Soul Oddity. Configurable furniture and urban planning concepts like 'Sound Signs' were another way to bridge my architecture background with the then emerging concept of the 'Experience Culture.'
