I JUST LIKE MAKING THINGS
I really like making stuff. Furniture is an extension of my architecture, just you don't have to wait for someone to put up a million dollars to build it. I used to say 'put me in a cave with some tools and wifi, and I'd be happy.'
Dining room table. The parallelogram shape makes it easier to get to the back chairs and gives more space in two corners of the square dining room for other pieces like the wine rack or buffet.
Pages from "Vampire Ghost Sharks of Playland," a children's book I wrote and illustrated for my daughter after we saw a shark kite at the beach near where we live in San Francisco where 'Playland' used to be.
And certainly the most important things I've ever made (at least until the little beans showed up), our engagement ring and wedding rings (same stones, flipped inside out). You think I'd actually let someone else design them?!? Created with good friend Tami Demaree Hull.
